This was a fantastic and fun episode. I really enjoyed the documentary style episode because it showed more from all the characters. I loved learning more from everyone and seeing more from everyone. I think Dr. Maki er…Captain Kamiki (I didn’t know it was him till last week) was amazing again this week seeing how he felt about what was going on and his interrogation techniques. Rui was also a lot of fun especially with calling UltraMan, SparkltraMan lol. I also loved how Daichi had to dodge the camera crew to transform to keep his secret identity and that X didn’t want to be rude to the camera crew lol. I like how it showed what else the XiO team does besides just fight the giant monsters and how everyone else besides the UltraMan gets stuff done too. I can’t wait for more of this show because all the characters are really fun and it’s just been really awesome so far.
Which detective would you prefer if you go to watch the play:
Detective number 1: TV star with a lame acting, eating disorder, unhealthy adoration of cookies, an asshole who at the same time sews hankies with five old seamstresses and who falls poisoned in the first act of the play Detective number 2: sweet guy and boyfriend, who is anxious about playing the main part, whose calmness existed only at the sitzprobe and who drugged himself to copy with stress becoming unable to go out of the room Detective number 3: absolutely crazy notorious director who wrote the whole musical and made everything work who can play every part and who had a heart attack like a week before going onstage Detective number 4: iconic awkward cat-lover and assistant, who tries to scare a ghost with a broom
I think that Tobert killed Sazz. Here’s my reasoning:
Sazz originally supposed that someone had been trying to kill Charles, so there must be another murderer we’ve already been introduced to, who got close to Charles
Mabel stated that (serial) killers can insert themselves into investigations to throw suspicion off themselves, and Tobert could have done this with Mabel to prevent her suspecting him of Charles’s future murder
Part of the timeline for Ben’s murder is still unaccounted for, namely Tobert’s phone call. Obviously Charles was not killed during this time frame, but there must be a reason why Tobert was the only gap and why the show wanted us to suspect him so badly
Tobert is purposeless this season! He was never even really treated as a suspect, and we didn’t get to see much romantic intimacy between him and Mabel. This could be a way to set up a deeper character story for him in season 4
The shot through Charles’s window had to have been a sniper shot, right? Camera equipment cases/carriers can conceal sniper equipment
The shot looked to have come from the same direction Charles would face when listening to Jan play the bassoon. Jan had a message she sent through Charles that Charles never fully received/understood. Scott Bakula could be some sort of code that she hoped would clue Charles in on something. Tobert could have been renting out her apartment, or just sneaking in there after coming from Ben’s apartment
Tobert could have originally used Ben as an “in” to get close to Charles. From nature docs to biopics? Tobert seems to like real, raw, substance and I can’t imaging him actually getting along with Ben and wanting to document his life. This seems like an excuse to be in frequent contact with the Death Razzle Dazzle cast (Charles)
I still believe that DRD served as an allusion to the Arconia murder(s). There were THREE triplets, THREE suspects, and the song specifically says: “which of the CREW could commit this crime?” When Charles/The Constable sings “I pick you”, he points to the audience, sure, but he points to the CAMERA. Tobert could be the third killer who simply hadn’t killed yet. (The first being Donna with the attempted murder, obviously, then Cliff).

My brother thought Tobert was the murderer in Season 3 and noticed a lot of suspicious things with him. We still believe that something is off with him and you make a lot of sense adding to it.
things that i genuinely loved about this season of only murders:
watching people in their 70s being incredibly talented and successful in musical numbers and sparkly outfits
the thematic insistence that adulthood isn’t defined by marriage and children
actually, now that i think about it, i don’t think anyone this season was under the age of thirty. it’s honestly so good to watch people from their thirties to their seventies just pursuing the art forms they love and forming communities amongst each other
the transition from death rattle to death rattle dazzle is a reminder that, if you have the chance, make it weirder! make it you. add music and sequins and dancing sea creatures. we could all do with more color and more singing.
That last part is so inspiring. Also, this season had great music to it. I need more music from this series like the Pickwick Triplets song.

Theo already knows Mabels backstory. They share a lot of the same grief. He’s not going to freak out if she’s out there solving murders. He’ll just be like, “Oh she’s late for dinner? Better go figure out where the podcast murder board is,” and show up and help with whatever weird hijinks she has gotten into.
Also, I want a whole season of Oliver going, “They’re dating,” and Charles being like, “They’re NOT DATING.”
And then Charles sees them out at a restaurant or something and runs to The Arconia and is like, “THEY’RE DATING. THEY’RE DATING! Kissing at the restaurant—”

Jon’s Totally Awesome Toku Pics: UltraMan Episode 34: This absolutely has to be the most hilarious episode of UltraMan. This was just a kooky mess of plans that just didn’t work because Skydon was too heavy. Though I can’t not mention the beginning where Hayata gives the Captain his umbrella by dropping it from the sky from the VTOL lol that was hilarious, though the scene afterwards about the guy committing suicide was kind of really dark and out of nowhere there. Anyways yeah the Science Patrol had a lot of fun plans there and I am not even sure if they would scientifically work; though it was a lot of fun to see them try. The fight scene even was comedic when UltraMan ended up getting crushed because Skydon was too heavy to lift even for him. Though later I totally accept the two of them crashing into each other as Skydon is falling ends up destroying him. Also Hayata trying to transform with his spoon was just so funny, this episode took every chance they could to make a joke and it was hysterical. A very fun and kooky episode for the Science Patrol and UltraMan. Only 5 episodes left can’t wait!
Shattering out of the Color Wheel is the Dark Knight himself: Kamen Rider Knight! One of my favorite Kamen Riders from Kamen Rider Ryuki! He’s a great character and such a Tsundere lol.
He’s badass and compelling. I want to see more of him post series now.
